FOUNDER

Letter from the Founder:

Greetings wonderful people!

I hope you will join me in my passion for Ayurveda. I truly believe that Ayurveda is the wave of the future. Modern medicine, that is western allopathic medicine, has given us many wonderful things, but it has not been that successful at helping people manage their diet and lifestyle. Furthermore, there is excessive, confusing and often contradictory information available to the public.

Ayurveda is the 5,000-year-old Wisdom of Healthy Living from India. Ayurveda emphasizes maintaining harmony of Body-Mind-Spirit through diet, lifestyle and natural herbs. In Ayurveda, the emphasis is not on a particular disease, but on maintaining the balance of your individual constitution. Modern day recommendations change all of the time. Ayurvedic recommendations have not changed for thousands of years!

Whereas western thinking is devoid of the idea of body types, Ayurveda uses body type analysis as a basis for its recommendations. People usually enjoy following Ayurvedic recommendations because they do not have to count calories or leave out any food groups. It is important to know your body type and what is beneficial for you and not beneficial for you. Whereas before you may have felt frustrated and lost in the maze of information, now you have a wellness partner at Austin Ayurveda!

Currently, my office has a business model called PWYF (Pay What You Feel) for Ayurvedic services only.  We have our usual prices listed on our website, but for PWYF appointments, you may regard these as suggested prices, and you can pay more or less than the usual prices.  The PWYF concept empowers buyers and gives them the responsibility for making a value judgment in exchange for a service. This is a progressive business model for our heart-centered office, and we find that it is a win-win exchange based on value and trust. This business model enables us to impart this valuable Ayurvedic knowledge to as many people as possible. For more information about PWYF Ayurvedic appointments, you can go to the Ayurvedic Diet & Lifestyle Coaching Services page on our website.

Austin Ayurveda also prioritizes education; therefore, we host presentation workshops about Ayurveda for the general public and other groups. You can find out more information about these workshops on our website under the Workshops menu tab. Date, time and location details are available for specific events under the Events menu tab.

Having participated in allopathic medicine myself for many years, I appreciate the more holistic approach of Ayurveda. I hope you will enjoy my unique approach as far as addressing the individual as a three dimensional being (body, mind and spirit). I am an Ayurvedic Practitioner certified by NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). I am also a certified Life Coach and a certified SQ21 Spiritual Intelligence Coach. You can find out more about all of our services on our website listed below.

We don’t have health insurance in this country, rather we have “sick insurance”.  Neither the government nor the health insurance companies care about you or your health.  The purpose of coaching is to empower the individual and make them autonomous and self-sufficient.  There will be challenging times ahead, and we all need to be healthy in body, mind and spirit.  So, if you are going to invest in anything, invest in yourself and your own well-being.  As the old saying goes, “If you have your health, you have everything.”

Join us at Austin Ayurveda to experience a unique array of services that help nourish your Body, Mind and Spirit!

Namaste,

C Cooper, AP (Ayurvedic Practitioner)
